Transaction Payments Solutions are a leading provider of electronic payments solutions across Africa, specialising in one stop end-to-end card payment processing solutions, mobile money systems, agency banking solutions, third party processing, managed service solutions, communications, payment switching systems, POS devices, software and local support.

We have a deep understanding of the financial services industry and experience with installation and support of Point of Sale (POS) solutions in Sub-Sharan Africa since 1992.

We are an entrepreneurial company, comprised of determined and motivated individuals who are committed to impressing our customers with our pioneering solutions and excellent and reliable after-sales service.

With more than 30 leading banking customers in 18 African countries, the TPS initials are well known throughout the continent. We have supplied, deployed and support more than 82,000 POS devices in Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Our POS devices and applications use dial, IP (Ethernet), 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and Bluetooth modes of communications; accept magnetic stripe, chip and PIN as well as contactless cards.

We operate a fully EMV, PCI compliant and redundant high availability Postilion switching system, with active-active, acquiring VISA, MasterCard and American Express cards. The platforms process more than 2.4 billion transactions per annum making us one of the largest specialist payment service providers in Africa.

We boast a team of highly trained, experienced and competent software analysts, developers and quality assurance personnel. We develop core terminal software, application programming interfaces (APIs) and integrations to the bank’s existing system timeously and in a cost-effective manner. We do this for most of our customers in Africa.
